THE WAN SEWING STUDIOS is a creative sewing space founded by fashion designer and stylist Viola Wan, rooted in a mission to make sewing approachable, empowering, and fun. Based in Los Angeles, our studio offers beginner-friendly and intermediate sewing classes with a strong focus on sustainability, upcycling, and hands-on learning.

Today I made three scrunches on my own! The pink one is a Bolivian awayu (textile) that I

bought over 10 years ago when I studied abroad there in college. It's been with me in every apartment I've ever lived in since, and now it found new life as a scrunchie.
