MEET VIOLA WAN
Viola Wan is a Los Angeles-based fashion designer, creative director, and wardrobe stylist, known for her bold, innovative approach to fashion. With a background in professionally trained dance, her designs embody movement, structure, and storytelling. Her aesthetic defies convention—blending boldness, edginess, and simplicity pushed to the extreme, while seamlessly harmonizing colors and textures to create visually striking looks.
Viola’s journey in fashion is deeply rooted in both design and business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Industry Studies (Fashion Design & Business) along with two Associate of Arts degrees in Fashion Design and Advanced Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). Her experience spans fashion PR showrooms, clothing brand production, wholesale womenswear, and personal shopping, giving her an extensive understanding of the industry. Over the past six years, she has built a strong reputation as a wardrobe stylist for music videos, red carpets, fashion shows, editorials, and e-commerce, curating statement looks that amplify individuality.
Her latest collection, "Trust" Deluxe (2025), was showcased at Los Angeles Fashion Week with Fashion Republic Magazine, marking a major milestone in her career. In 2025, she won the @themodelexperience Designer Grand, securing a prestigious opportunity to present her upcoming collection, "Faith" (2025), at New York Fashion Week this September—an achievement she is beyond grateful and excited for.
As a stylist, Viola has worked with talent including Coco Jones, Kylie Cantrall, and Bernice Ye, curating standout looks for TV appearances, red carpets, and performances. Her custom designs have been worn by major artists such as INASX, and featured on national television, reaching a live stream audience of over 35 million viewers during major broadcasts like WWE. Most notably, her work was worn by WWE superstar Seth Rollins, solidifying her reputation for creating high-impact, stage-ready fashion.
Viola’s work has been featured on multiple international magazine covers and editorials, including Vogue, Selin, Style Cruze, Mode, Goji, Moevir, and many more.
She continues to aspire toward creating iconic fashion moments for stars like Latto, Coi Leray, Saweetie, Sadboi, Tyla, Flo Milli, and beyond.
Beyond fashion design and styling, Viola is dedicated to education and sustainability. She founded @thewansewingstudios, a creative space where aspiring designers and creatives come together to learn sewing, upcycling, and responsible fashion practices. Through her work, she continues to inspire and empower a new generation of creatives to push boundaries, embrace their unique style, and redefine what fashion can be.
